Welcome To
In 2010, two of our pioneers came to Phnom Penh, the capital city to investigate the possibilities of starting a work amongst the under privilege people by providing them support needs for Education.
In 2011, we arrived to explore the Siem Reap province. We were introduced to a 16-kilometer-away village. A group of children came to greet us and express their appreciation for our friendship.
Our NGO application was approved in 2012 and we set up our English center. Our English class started with 30 plus students who came faithfully and subsequently our numbers increased to almost 100 students with 3 classes daily.

Exploring Cambodia
2010
In 2010, we arrived in Phnom Penh and began our journey to discover
what kind of work we wanted to pursue. We worked in Kampong Thom and established an
English class in a nearby village. Despite having to travel 45 km every two weeks to conduct the classes,
the students were enthusiastic about learning and attended faithfully.
ACTS Program
(Adopt Children To School Program
ACTS program was pioneered through FGC Community Link Inc., Philippines in 2006. The purpose of this project was to alleviate the educational needs for academically excellent students to finish at least high school. The organization has since sponsored 45 students through University and skilled training.

In 2010, the Director of FGC Community Link Inc. - Diana Angela Bruyns together with ACTS
Samal’s 1st University Student, Miss V’zl Jane Mejos came to Cambodia to pioneer another
NGO. After 11/2 years of exploratory, they were able to start an English class and work with
some partners in Kampong Thom which is 4 hours from Phnom Penh.
In 2011, we came up to Siem Reap for an exploratory trip. We visited AP Village and the students were very responsive. We uprooted up to SR and in 2012, our NGO was approved. FGC Community Link Cambodia started its operation in September 2012.

ACTS
Kuok Resay Village
In 2015, ACTS classes moved from the village of Ampil Peam to the village of Kuok Resay. In 2014, a local businessman granted us the use of his 700-square-meter property with two multi-purpose halls. We also launched the Sunday values education classes at the River of Life Centre roughly six months later.
Since 2015 until the pandemic in 2020, approximately sixty or more pupils per day have arrived at this centre to study English. A significant number of them could read, speak, and write quite good English. Monday through Thursday, ACTS students study English in Science, Mathematics, Values, and English.
As a result of the pandemic and the subsequent resumption of courses, we lost the entire class. The majority of the new recruits were extremely sluggish and unable to comprehend or speak English. The instructors were required to teach the alphabet. There are four classes in this village centre, and we are grateful that many students' understanding
of elementary English has improved.
ACTS
Tropeang Thom Village
In December 2016, we travelled 24 kilometres into a village to investigate the possibility of English classes. The head-village welcomed and supported us because they desired our programme for the village's children. He offered his home so that we could conduct the classes there.
In January of 2017, we conducted an orientation for the program's intrigued children and parents. They were all enthusiastic and enrolled their children. In February of 2017, we began class with more than eighty students. Miss Thay, Srey Len pioneered this activity, and Ms. Esther later taught there for a time. Ms. Sung, Sang, and Ms. Chuan,, Chantha are currently responsible for the ACTS centre in this village.
Over the years, the parents have encouraged their children to attend, and the pupils in this village have been regular attendees. Students, parents, and staff members have positive relationships.
Currently, English classes are offered Monday through Wednesday at our center. We have approximately 96 pupils of which Primary - (Grades 2-6) - 68 pax, Secondary - (Grades 7-9) - 22 pax, and High School - (Grades 10-12) - 6pax
ACTS
Phnom Penh
On 14 May, ACTS PP, Cambodia, was inaugurated. This event was attended by 25 students and approximately 9 parents, and two of the presenting groups performed admirably. The attending parents were very supportive of our desire to instruct their children.
Every day since the program's inception, two groups of students have been enrolled. In Science, Mathematics, values and English language. Our sole purpose is not for the students to just learn English but we would like to develop their characteristics.
Visitation has been one of the challenges because majority of them come from factory-working families. In contrast to families in the villages of Siem Reap, the parents of the students from Phnom Penh work long hours and have little time for their children. So the center has become a place of acceptance for our students.
We would like to thank the sponsors for your assistance in touching lives and making a difference for these young students.
Vision:
Change Concept = Change Life
Mission:
At Man of Dignity Centre, our goal is to offer top-notch civil technology services by continuously learning and improving. We founded this center with the aim of providing training opportunities for young men in our village. In 2015, we had the privilege of sponsoring Jhune Mar Delicano, an ACTS student from the Philippines, to attend TESDA training in Davao City. During his stay, we shared our vision of empowering the lives of Cambodian young men.
“I create success
because I can"
However, it was no easy feat to establish the entire strategic planning of the MOD. It took JM over a year to translate the lessons into Khmer, determine the duration of each skill, and classify the lessons that the students would be learning. But it was all worth it because we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of young men in our community.
Partnership in Kampong Thom
English classes &
1st University
Students
Our journey started by teaching students English at our Phnom Penh center. We also visited a village four hours away to meet our friends and establish a partnership in two areas of education. The first is to set up an English class in the village, and the second is to financially assist families in sending their children to school by sending university students.
During our visit, we met two families whose children, Srey Len and Hun Vanna, were interested in attending university. Srey Len's father ran a small grocery store, while Vanna's father repaired bicycles at their home. We admitted them to the program and supported their attendance at Vanda University in Phnom Penh.
In 2014, both Srey Len and Vanna graduated. Srey Len now works at FGCCLC, while Vanna is currently employed in a bank.

Current Univerity student - 2023
In 2017, we provided sponsorship for a high school student who had lost her mother and was attending the KR English center. Seeing her passion for education and desire for a brighter future, Madam Angela brought her to the city and enlisted the support of several individuals to assist her.
This year, 2023, Sokay has begun her first year at Build Bright University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. In addition, she spends two afternoons a week training to become a teacher at KR center and also helps with preparing materials for various activities.
We are grateful to Tentmakers Ministry who supported her through
high school and a group of people in Malaysia through Sonny Lim who
are giving her a higher level of education in university.

Lay, Sopheak comes from a family facing financial difficulties. We first
encountered him as a young boy in the English center in our village. His parents work tirelessly to ensure that he and his sisters receive a quality education. Currently, both his sisters are pursuing degrees in university. Through the ACTS program, Sopheak was selected to study in the city. Initially, we enrolled him in a government school, but in 2021, we transferred him to a private school to enhance his education. Sopheak is due to begin grade 12 this November. For the past four years, he has been residing in our office dormitory. Living with us has positively impacted various aspects of his life; he has become more responsible and independent, learned to balance his obligations and personal life, and has gained new skills through the Man of Dignity Center. Additionally, he teaches English to children in the village.
Some individuals prioritize education and we are grateful to Mr. & Mrs. Chong Hin
Choy for this privilege given to Sopheak to finish his high school in the city.
Current High School student
Last year, Moeun Chamrong came to live with us when he was just 14 years old. He is the fourth child in a family of seven, whose parents had separated when he was young. His father works as a security guard and struggles to provide for the family. As a result, Moeun was sent to live with his uncle, who supported him in attending school. Life with his uncle's family was challenging, and he had to work hard to support himself.
Since coming to stay with us for the past year, Chamrong has made tremendous progress in his English, character, responsibility, and outlook on life. Our staff has provided him with love and care, which has helped him to become more positive about doing well in school. Additionally, he is a diligent learner. He has been learning valuable trade skills, playing the guitar, and studying taekwondo.
We extend our gratitude to Ms. May Teh, Chamrong's sponsor, for providing him with hope in education and unwavering support. Chamrong is currently completing grade 10 and is set to transition to a better school for grade 11. Additionally, we would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to four additional sponsors who have committed to covering Chamrong's school fees for the next two years, until he completes grade 12.
New Playground
As September nears its end, we are grateful for the newly constructed playground at KR Village Center. The children are thrilled to visit each day for some recreational fun. They eagerly await their classes so they can play on the swings, slides, and merry-go-round. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Jan Paul Buschdorf for generously donating the swing, merry-go-round, and slide. Additionally, we appreciate Mr. Gideon Rossouw for creating a fantastic wooden seesaw with large car tires.

ENGELSTOFT FOUNDATION
founded by Mr. Mads Engelstoft - 2009 until the current
The Foundation was established to help subsistence farming
communities break the cycle of poverty and afford education
for their children.
The original plan was to do this through the creation of business
incubators. However, in Cambodia, we encountered a social fabric and education system so damaged by the Khmer Rouge, that distrust among villagers and towards outsiders made it difficult to work with the adults. Instead, we chose to work on educating the children and through them reach the parents.
Donors & Support

We are grateful for every donor that has been contributing to the causes of FGC Community Link Cambodia’s project. It’s been 11 wonderful years of project and relationship building with people from all walks of life. There were many students who passed through us learning English. We are grateful that many of them are doing well in the working world.
We would like to thank our donors for seeing value in the vision and mission of our organization. You have played a part of every success.
